Styling your Dungarees

Dungarees: Topshop

Today's post is dedicated to styling my lovely denim dungarees also known as shorteralls. At first, I was hesitant about getting them for the sole reason that I thought  they were a one look kind of item which meant that I'd only be able to wear them a few times. However, to my surprise, I was able to style them in more ways than I thought possible and it was actually a lot of fun coming up with different looks. What's great about denim shorteralls is that you can pair them with just about anything and layer as much as you want. Depending on how you style them you can go from girly to tomboy to even edgy; they don't always have to be the typical "farm girl look" that people tend to associate them with. These are just 3 of the endless ways you can wear them:

First Look: Sporty chic

77 Jersey: Black Market Vintage
Beanie: H&M men's
Wedges: H&M
Whistle Necklace: Nasty Gal

Second Look: Country Romance

Knit sweater: H&M
Over-knee socks: H&M
Bowler Hat: Kangol
Booties: Topshop

Third Look: Girl with an edge

Crop Turtle neck: American Apparel
Shawl cardigan: H&M
Leather Hat: Shopgypsumstyle.com
Gladiator boots: Topshop

Sweater Dresses

Sweater Dress and beanie: H&M/ Booties: Topshop

Crystal Pendant: Brandy Melville

This fall, an essential that I think every girl should have in their closet is the sweater dress! I got this one from H&M which also comes in a light grey, dark grey and a rosy pink; I decided to go with the dark green because it really complimented my ombré hair. I'm actually not quite sure if it was meant to be worn as a dress but the trick is to get a larger size so it's long enough to be worn as a dress. I paired the look with plain black thigh highs and a beanie to give it the complete fall feel(I know it's not fall yet, but it sure feels like it!) Anyway, hope you're all having a lovely friday!

Hippie Chic

Crop tank: H&M/Wide leg pants: Brandy Melville

Leather booties: Topshop

Rose necklace and Gold triangle necklace: Forever 21/ Blue pendant: H&M

Bringing back the hippie chic look. This year a lot of stores are bringing the flared/wide leg pants back and I am loving it! Though we are soon transitioning into the fall season, I was able to rock these beautiful floral print pants before Mother Nature decided to suddenly take the warm weather away from us. To be honest, I felt a little timid to wear them at first but I realized that if I didn't wear them soon I would have to wait until the next spring season to take them out again. I could not have picked a better day to wear them as it was such beautiful sunny day yesterday. They definitely would have to be one of the most comfortable pair of pants i've ever worn...so airy and free! I paired it with a simple black crop; the pants are already crazy enough on their own so you don't want to overdo the look. I accessorized with dainty necklaces of different lengths to complete the look; really digging layering necklaces these days! Anyways, definitely check out Brandy Melville if you get the chance, they've got the same style of pants in many different prints and as for the dainty necklaces, check out forever 21 they've got lots! Have an amazing friday everyone!

This fall, say yes to floral!

Floral jacket: Black market Toronto

Boyfriend jeans: Zara/ Sneaker wedges: H&M

When it comes to floral clothing, most people often associate the print as a spring/summer trend. However, I think that the print can be worn in all four seasons. I mean we'll leave the pastel florals for spring and summer but the rich, bold and vibrant florals in my opinion work great for the gloomier winter and fall seasons.

I found this great vintage jacket at a vintage store in Toronto for only $10! Amazing deal! Definitely check out the Black market right across from the Much Music building if you're in the Downtown, Toronto region; they often have the whole store for $10. I went for a more laid-back feel for this look by pairing the jacket with a pair of distressed boyfriend jeans, a plain white tee and my black sneaker wedges. A simple casual chic look perfect for my first day back at school!

Hope you're all having a lovely friday!

How to style your little black dress

H&M divided basic:$12.95

Fall is right around the corner and that can only mean one thing...layering! Today's post will be my own take on styling a simple cotton black dress that i got at H&M and coming up with 3 different looks simply by layering and accessorizing the right way.

First look
Keeping it simple with this first look. Pairing a plain black dress with the right accessories but keeping it minimal is key to creating a very trendy and edgy look. I'm always a big fan of the all black look.

Vegan leather baseball cap: shopgypsumstyle.com
Necklace: H&M
Leather booties: H&M

Second look
For those days when you just feel like being warm and cozy but still want to look cute, throw on a baggy knit sweater and layer some necklaces of different lengths on top to spice things up. I added my wide fedora hat to complete the look.

Wide-edged fedora hat: Topshop
Knit sweater: H&M
Combat boots: Aldo

Third look
This look is for the girl on the go. I'm wearing my lovely biker leather jacket from H&M and tied my plaid shirt around my waist to add some dimension to the look. To add extra edginess: Pair the look with circle sunnies and put your hair in a top bun!

Leather Jacket: H&M
Plaid shirt: H&M Men's
Cut-out booties: choies.com
Circle sunnies: Toronto Kensington market

Have a lovely thursday guys!

R a w r

Bodysuit:Blackmilk Clothing/Denim:American Apparel/Boots:Topshop

First post! I finally decided to start a blog and this outfit in my opinion is first post worthy. I'm wearing my tiger bodysuit from Blackmilk Clothing paired with my favourite high-waisted denim jeans from American Apparel and my staple black booties from Topshop to add some edge to this look.

Shawl Cardigan:American Apparel/Toque:Topshop

The temperatures have been dropping substantially at night time lately, so I added a cute toque and a loose knit cardigan overtop. A simple quick fix and you've got yourself a warm and cozy outfit that still looks fierce!
